ProMan was developed from inception on the PMBOK-compliant project management methodology. The vision was, and remains, that ProMan delivers a strategic tool for Consulting Engineers to improve the project's chance of success. ProMan is part of a project manager's suite of tools to
monitor and control the time, cost, quality and scope on projects.

Although ProMan is primarily focused on monitoring time and other cost (disbursement) deliverables, the system contributes to change, risk, issue,
procurement as well as communication management on projects.

ProMan's planning structure mirrors the best practice project plan or WBS (Work Breakdown Plan) with a hierarchy based on clients, projects, tasks and activities.
